MetroAir Virtual Airlines started in late fall of 2005. Mark McCoy dreamed of a unique concept for a new virtual airline: a virtual airline that felt real but wasn’t constrained to mimicking a real-world airline. We started with a virtual budget, which didn’t afford buying brand-new Boeing 747’s and flying to dozens of international destinations from the beginning. Rather, with MetroAir you’ll grow as the airline grows, calm and calculated.

The day MetroAir opened, the fleet consisted only of Boeing 737-200Adv and DeHavilland DHC-8-Q200 aircraft. In time as the financial situation of the company improved and MetroAir had a firm stance in the industry, new aircraft were leased and purchased. The current fleet consists of the original B732 and Dash8-Q200, as well as B762, B762ER, B742B, A319, A321 & A330-200.

At MetroAir Virtual Airlines you are a part of something special. You are much more than just a statistical number—you are the most important member of the team. You grow when we grow. You are why we are here.
