Matt Dissinger
From MetroAirWiki
Matt Dissinger has had an interest in flying since Flight Simulator '98 where his favorite aircraft was the MD-88. His aspirations of flying were further heightened in 2000 when he received an invitation to visit NorthWest Airlines headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, met with an instructor with 25+ years experience, and got to fly one of the full motion 747 simulators! After a near perfect taxi out, takeoff, circle, and landing centerline, the instructor turned to him and told him "You play way too many video games!".
Fast forward to 2007 when Matt again got back into flight simulator with Flight Simulator X and began flying for ATA Virtual. He flew with ATA Virtual for 4 months as a pilot before joining the staff there as Chief Technology Officer on January 8, 2008, responsible for maintaining and updating their website with new features as well as updating their fleet for FSX compatibility. Matt remained with ATA Virtual until they closed down in November 2008.
Matt spent the next 2 years flying off and on, looking for a new home, before finally joining MetroAir Virtual in January, 2011. He jumped head first into the regional aircraft and after spending numerous hours in them, decided he felt like tweaking the aircraft to further improve on them. After completing tweaks on the Q200 and Q400 and supplying back to the beta test team, he accepted a staff position to formally continue on future aircraft improvements.
