Zak originally joined MetroAir in January of 2007, but had to leave shortly after due to an extreme family emergency. He returned in September of 2008 and in two short months quickly accrued more than 150 hours, mainly flying his favorite aircraft, the A319. He was promoted to Operations Coordinator in November of 2008.

Zak brings over 15 years of virtual airline management experience to the MetroAir staff, having served on the staff and the Board of Directors for more than 6 different virtual airlines over the years.

When he's not working on researching new routes for MetroAir, Zak works as the senior project manager for a high-end resort development company managing projects in Austin, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Vail.

In his spare time, he's an avid Chapman Stick player, surfer, and pilot.
